Oldbury Hill - Step Back in Time
A figure-of-eight walk anti-clockwise south up to the ridge above Stone Street, around to the medieval fish ponds, north over the A25 then clockwise around the two-mile circumference of the ramparts of the Oldbury Iron Age hill fort.
The south half of the hill fort is owned by the National Trust. We have permission from the private land owner to walk around the northern half. We’ll get an overview of the history of the site and try to put it into perspective based on the size of a human step.
