Shipbourne to Underriver
Join us for a summer ramble with far-reaching views of the quiet countryside between the villages of Shipbourne and Underriver.
On leaving Shipbourne churchyard we head south-west through farmland, woodland and Twelve Acre Plantation, now a Christmas tree farm on the edge of the Fairhill Estate. After a break at Underriver, we return to Shipbourne passing Underriver House, Budd’s Green and through Cold Blows Wood.
Be prepared for up to 15 stiles, depending on which farm gates are open. Some stiles are high and some are in poor condition. There are three short sections of road walking.
The walk is suitable only for small dogs on short leads, who can be carried over the many stiles.
