Shoreham to Eynsford 11 mile Circular

Glorious Views and Picturesque Villages: Shoreham to Eynsford Circular Walk

This stunning 11-mile circular walk from Shoreham takes in glorious views, open fields, woodlands, and two of Kent’s most picturesque villages: Shoreham and Eynsford.

We begin in the charming village of Shoreham, crossing the crystal-clear waters of the River Darrent before taking on our first climb of the day. Following which we’re rewarded with far-reaching views across the landscape, and passing the Castle Farm cattle fields.

We then pass over chalk downland, home to an abundance of meadow brown butterflies where again we have wonderful views of the surrounding area. After our second, shorter climb we then walk into the delightful village of Eynsford, where we’ll pause for a picnic lunch.

After lunch, we pass the striking Eynsford Viaduct, then continue through the scenic Lullingstone estate including a newly planted row of trees planted in an acroustic spelling SAVE THE PLANET. Our walk then continues passing lavender fields and crops of hops and pumpkins  before following the river back to Shoreham.

• Walk start time: 10:00 am please arrive in good time to change your shoes and lace your boots.
• Distance: 11 miles
• Start location: Filsham Lane Car park in Shoreham village (additional parking available at Shoreham train station, a short walk away)
• Toilets: Public toilets available in Shoreham village

For those who would like to end the walk with post walk refreshments we will be stopping for a while in one of the pubs in Shoreham village.
