Swallowfield, Farley Hill and the Blackwater River
Starting at 9:00am to make the most of the cooler part of the day.
This is a lovely circular walk in varied countryside, with farmland, parkland and river meadows. It is mainly flat with just 190ft of ascent. On leaving Swallowfield, we follow a stretch of the Broadwater, before it divides into the Blackwater and Whitewater Rivers. Our route passes Wheeler's Copse and we cross Swallowfield Park which is a traditional parkland with many old trees.
Please bring plenty to drink and note that there will be a short drink/snack stop, but no lunch stop on this walk.
