Through old woods, pretty villages and across two golf courses

This is a 'figure of 8' walk, starting at St. Mary's Platt. The morning leg is about 6, the afternoon leg about 5 miles long.

From the starting point at The Blue Anchor pub we walk on the the Weald Way through ancient Hurst Wood on our way towards Plaxtol. We have a look at NT Old Soar Manor and continue to Yopps Green and Basted. We will stop for lunch or a drink at The Blue Anchor, which concludes the morning walk.

At about 1 p.m.we set off through Platt Woods to further follow the WW in the opposite direction. After crossing West Malling Golf Course and the busy A20, we make our way to Offham through Church Farm, catching a glimpse of the attractive houses and the famous 'quintain'. We return to St. Mary's Platt through Leybourne Wood and across Wrotham Heath Golf Course.

The paths will be muddy after rain, and there are some minor hills in the morning, but the afternoon leg is almost entirely flat.
