Twyford to Reading

Today’s walk takes us along the Thames between Twyford and Reading. Starting at Twyford station, we’ll head out of Twyford along the Old Bath Road before turning right onto a footpath that takes you past the Old River and Patrick’s Stream to take us to the Thames. Once on it, we’ll follow it through Sonning and into the suburbs of Reading where it meets the Kennet & Avon Canal, which we turn right onto. From here, we’ll then pass Blake’s Lock before walking through the Abbey and Forbury Gardens to finish the walk at Reading station.

Following on from the walk, the walk leader will be hanging around Reading station for the “BW Go Classical: Fiesta on the Footbridge!” social starting at 15:00. After this social, they then plan to have a few drinks at The Three Guineas if you want to join them there.
