A Wayfarers ramble from Ashmansworth - Please book online

Leaving Ashmansworth, we head west cross country to the village of Faccombe. Passing Faccombe Manor and Church, we join the Brenda Parker Way heading north to reach the Wayfarers Walk. Turning south east we should get some good views north towards Newbury and maybe as far as the Ridgeway. We continue along the Wayfarers initially along the Ox Drove track until we reach open downland to the west of Beacon Hill. We leave the Wayfarers Walk turning south west before turning north to Crux Easton and the Hipple Lane track back to Ashmansworth.

The going underfoot is predominantly on established tracks and estate roads, however it is quite an undulating walk, particularly the first half of the route. There are six stiles, five of which are close together along the Hipple Way track towards the end of the route. There are three short sections along quiet lanes plus we cross the busy Andover road twice where extra care will be required.
