Starting at the Recreation Ground car park we will head uphill and then turn westward to reach and continue along Church Lane. We will then turn north and west  before turning south again to Vernham Row. Here we head westward past Gamble Cottage and reach Fosbury ( which I hope is not a flop).

We will then take Tunball Lane to Upper Fosbury Farm before turning eastward again to reach the top of Knowl Down before descending to Vernham Dean and returning to the car park.

There is one stile, maybe two if a gate is locked.
